Flowery Branch completed its mission in Danielsville on Friday night.
The Falcons (5-3, 2-2 Region 8-4A) slowly built its lead and pulled away with a 17-point fourth quarter to beat Madison County, 32-8, on the road. More importantly, the win gave the Falcons sole possession of third place in Region 8-4A. The Falcons can seal the third spot with a win over Chestatee next week.
Kicker Marco Velasquez had a busy night for the Falcons, booting four field goals, including a 45-yarder late in the third quarter.
