AUGUSTA, Ga. — University of North Georgia cross country runner Elissa Oliver was named the Peach Belt Conference Runner of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday morning.

Oliver finished in 11th place overall at the Berry Invitational. The freshman from Gainesville, Georgia, covered the 6K course in 24:06.1 which was the fastest of any PBC runner in the field and one minute off the lead. Her time is also the seventh-fastest 6K run in the PBC this season. Her efforts helped the Nighthawks to a third-place finish in the 14 team field.

North Georgia will next run in the PBC Championship Saturday morning at 9 a.m. in Fairburn.
