A Gainesville man has been arrested and charged with the sexual assault of a teenage girl he met on social media.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office said the alleged assault happened on Saturday, Oct. 9 between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. outside of a residence on Ridgeway Drive off Skelton Road.
Marco Antonio Loza, 20, reportedly was inside a vehicle with the victim, a girl under the age of 16.
Deputies were called to the residence by a friend of the victim, who had been receiving text messages from the victim.
After the victim was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for evaluation, investigators arrested Loza on charges of aggravated sexual battery and child molestation.
At last check, Loza remained in the Hall County Jail.
