Investigation into Nazi pamphlets left in Forsyth County mailboxes

Posted 10:00AM on Wednesday 27th January 2021 ( 3 years ago )

Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating after American Nazi pamphlet found in a citizen's mailbox.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said on social media they got the complaint from a resident of the Hilltop subdivision around 3 p.m. Tuesday. The post said deputies are trying to locate the person who placed the pamphlet in the mailbox.

While the flyers are constitutionally protected speech, the Sheriff's Office notes that placing them inside a mailbox is "a violation."

The Sheriff's Office said they are working with Federal partners to determine if any illegal activity occurred.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Sheriff's Office by calling 770-581-2222.
