One of the largest churches in Georgia, based in Gainesville, will open its newest campus this Sunday in Braselton

Free Chapel officials said the Braselton campus will be the seventh physical location for the church.

"The services will be held in a beautiful and newly renovated building at 2001 Cherry Drive," said Free Chapel marketing spokeswoman Alexis Strong in a press release. "Pastor Jentezen Franklin will be preaching live to the satellite campus each Sunday at 11 a.m."

The Braselton campus will accommodate 875 people in its sanctuary.

"The campus will provide nothing short of a traditional Free Chapel campus and each member will find something for the whole family right in the neighborhood of Braselton," Strong said.  "This location will also feature an inspiring and dynamic kid’s ministry from nursery to 6th grade, energetic and modern worship, and a kid-friendly message from the Children’s Pastor."

Strong said over the last month, there have been multiple run-throughs with volunteers and test services in preparation for the doors to open to the public Sunday, Jan. 10.

An official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new campus is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8. The public is invited to attend the ceremony and tour the new church, as well. COVID-safe guidelines will be in place the duration of the event.
