Local farmers talk about impact of COVID-19 on season

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has certainly effected the local economy- even the local farmers market.

In addition to a delayed start to the annual Gainesville Farmers Market, some of the growers that participate said that a decrease in customers has led to a decrease in profit. 

Some other growers said that they have seen an increase in demand for their products, while another said that they have not experienced any change at all.

AccessWDUN reporter Lauren Hunter talked with many of these growers to find out each of their situations firsthand. Click the video above to hear their responses.

Many of the farmers that sell products each week at the Gainesville Farmers Market said that they have felt the impact of COVID-19 in some way.
