Week 4 will be the biggest night of the young season around northeast Georgia with 17 total games on tap this Friday.

And of course we have three good matchups in store on the Jacobs Media airwaves and streaming live on AccessWDUN, which should give fans plenty to get excited about.

The catalyst to Buford's march to the 2019 Class 5A state title can be traced to the Wolves' 31-28 loss to Clarke Central in last year's Region 8-5A title showdown in the regular season finale. Without that loss, maybe there isn't the extra motivation. But no matter what, the rematch is here, though in non-region form this time as Buford has moved up to Class 6A in 2020. Both teams come into Friday's showdown at Tom Riden Stadium sporting 1-1 records and still trying to figure things out. You can bet both teams will be looking at this one as a possible springboard as both head into region play over the next two weeks. You can hear all the action on WDUN AM 550 (Click to listen live).

Fresh off its win in the annual Battle of Oakwood last week, and after snapping a 12-game losing streak, West Hall and The Hot Gates will once again be a focal point as the Spartans play host to Hall County rival Chestatee. You can listen to the game on FM 102.9 WDUN (Click to listen live).West Hall (1-2) has led in every game this season but finally put it all together last week. Meanwhile, Chestatee (0-2) is battling early-season injuries and has not been able to get its vaunted offense unleashed to this point. Chestatee won 70-14 in 2019 snapping a five-game losing streak to the Spartans.

And Gainesville, perhaps still reeling from its gut-wrenching 29-22 loss to Flowery Branch last week, will need to right the ship this week at City Park before heading into its Region 6-7A schedule next week. The Red Elephants (1-1) will play host to Discovery (1-2) and the game can be heard live on FM 94.5 The Lake (Click to listen live). It will be the first home game for Gainesville in 2020, where traditionally they have been tough to beat. Discovery, meanwhile, is just 2-20 on the road since 2016.

Friday Game Night will keep you in tune with all of these contests and more. Be sure to check in with us throughout the night on Friday and keep up with live scoring on twitter: @FridayGameNight.
