A fire that broke out at a Buford business a week ago has been ruled accidental by the Hall County Fire Marshal's Office.

Hall County Fire Services Division Chief Zacahry Brackett said an investigation determined the fire orginated from a golf cart located inside the business.

Original story Thursday, Sept. 17:

A business on Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford caught fire Thursday morning as heavy rains moved through the area.

Division Chief Zachary Brackett with Hall County Fire Services said crews got the call around 7:10 a.m. about a commercial fire at Bulldog Carts on Lanier Islands Parkway at the intersection of Holiday Road.

"The first arriving units found a large metal building with heavy fire showing. The fire was knocked down around 8:15 a.m.," Brackett said in an email statement. "Mutual aid was received from Gwinnett Fire. No occupants were inside the building at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported."

Brackett said that a dog was found dead following the incident.
