A father and son from Jefferson were killed in a three-vehicle wreck early Sunday morning in Braselton.
According to information released by Georgia State Patrol Post #32 in Athens, the fatal collision was reported at 4:37 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.
Investigating troopers said Sebastian Nunez, 19, of Hoschton was traveling eastbound on SR 124 when his vehicle crossed into the westbound lane of the road and hit a Chevrolet pickup truck head on.
The driver of the truck, Thomas Damon, 56, died at the scene. His son, Timothy Damon, 35, was a passenger in the truck and troopers said he was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, where he died from his injuries.
A third vehicle, which was traveling behind the Damons' truck, was also involved in the accident. The driver of that vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries. Nunez also suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The Georgia State Patrol continues its investigation; troopers said charges are pending in the fatal crash.
