COVID protocols, ticket info for area schools during 2020 football season

Here are the updated COVID-19 protocols and ticket information for every school in the coverage area of AccessWDUN for fans looking to attend a football game during the 2020 season:

(These updates are current as of Sept. 3, 2020, at  3 p.m.)

Hall County School District
Cherokee Bluff, Chestatee, East Hall, Flowery Branch, Johnson, North Hall, West Hall
Stadium capacity: 35 percent
Tickets: Pre-sale only at each school. Each school's players, band members and cheerleaders will get three tickets each. Each school will provide an allotment of tickets to the visiting school to be sold by Thursday. Unused tickets will be returned to be sold to the public. 
Mask/Temp checks: Mask/face coverings and temperature will be required to get into the stadium. Masks should be worn at all times. 
Concessions: Yes, prepackaged
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? "We will have typical vendors selling spirit wear at many stadiums, some of our marching bands will be easing into their halftime shows; pep music from the bands will likely be the same," Hall County AD Stan Lewis said. "Some schools may have student sections, but this will depend on seating capacity and availability. Again, this will vary from school to school. If space allows, we will have cheerleaders. In most cases, this will be possible." 


Gainesville High School
Stadium capacity: 25 percent
Tickets: GoFan app only
Game Passes: GHSA, GAC and media passes are allowed in addition to the 25 percent.
Mask/Temp checks: Masks/face coverings will be required but no temperature check. 
Concessions: Gainesville will provide condensed concessions
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? "Our goal is to make Friday night as normal as possible and welcome our fans and visitors as usual to beautiful City Park," Gainesville AD Adam Lindsey said. "We have put together a plan that we feel will allow everyone to enjoy Big Red football in one of the greatest settings in high school football. Go Big Red!"


Banks County
Stadium capacity: 100 percent
Tickets: $7 at the gate 
Mask/Temp checks: Masks recommended, no temperature check
Concessions: Yes
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? “We are going to be as “normal” as possible while following all GHSA guidelines,” AD Mike Cleveland.


Commerce
Stadium capacity: 100 percent
Tickets: GoFan app, presale at school and at the gate 
Mask/Temp checks: No
Concessions: Yes
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? “We will be having our band and cheerleaders perform at games," Will Smith. "We will also allow visiting bands and cheerleaders to attend and perform.”


Dawson County
Stadium capacity: 100 percent
Tickets: At the gate
Mask/Temp checks: No
Concessions: Yes, prepackaged 
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? “We are trying to keep our game day experience as normal as possible, while also being as safe as possible so that our fans can hopefully feel some normalcy in what's been a pretty crazy last few months," AD Jason Gibson said.   


East Jackson
Stadium capacity: 50 percent
Tickets: GoFan app 
Mask/Temp checks: Masks recommended, no temperature check
Concessions: Yes, prepackaged
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? We understand that we’re all doing things differently than ever before, but we hope that once the game gets started that folks can feel a sense of normalcy," AD Shawn Lindsey  We still have theme nights planned for all home games -- Senior Night, Homecoming, Elementary Night, Public Services Recognition, Teacher Appreciation, etc.  It’s not an issue that’s just going away...we’re just trying to find the safest way to navigate all the challenges it has brought to us." 


Habersham Central
Stadium capacity: 100 percent
Concessions: Yes
Masks/Temp check required for entry: No 
Tickets: At the gate
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? "We are recommending that facial covering/masks be worn and that spectators social distance when and where possible," Raider Athletic Director Geep Cunningham said. "It is important to realize that attendance at these events is voluntary."


Jackson County
Stadium capacity: 50 percent
Concessions: Prepackaged food only
Masks/Temp check required for entry: No, but masks are expected to be worn inside the stadium. 
Tickets: Fans will be allowed to purchase tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis through the GoFan App. Jackson County will limit capacity to 50 percent -- 1,800 - 1,900 tickets each game based on a number of factors.
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? "We want our community and student-athletes to be able to take part in one of the most important parts of the high school and community experience as "normally" as possible," AD Brad Hayes said.


Jefferson
Stadium capacity: 50 percent
Tickets: GoFan app, 300 tickets available for visiting fans
Mask/Temp checks: Masks recommended, required for students, no temperature check
Concessions: Yes, prepackaged
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? “We look forward to opening our 2020 football season at home on September 11 against Central Gwinnett,” AD Bill Navas said. 


Lakeview Academy
Stadium capacity: Partial
Tickets: Students and parents only
Mask/Temp checks: Masks required, no temperature check
Concessions: Yes
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? “We are trying to keep the things we can as normal as possible," AD Deuce Roark said.


Lumpkin County
Stadium capacity: 100 percent
Tickets: At the gate 
Mask/Temp checks: Masks recommended, no temperature check
Concessions: Yes
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? “As of now, Lumpkin will not limit seating compacity," Athletic Director Nicky Jenkins said. "We will do everything we can so fans, cheerleaders, bands, and teams can feel like it's a normal Fri night. However, the stadium will be covered with signs, the announcer will be making constant announcements, and the JumboTron will be scrolling through reminders about social distancing and suggestions about wearing masks."


Towns County
Stadium capacity: 100 percent
Tickets: At the gate 
Mask/Temp checks: Masks recommended, no temperature check
Concessions: Yes, prepackaged
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? "Just getting back on the field, fans in the stands, band and cheerleaders will make it feel like a regular Friday night under the lights," Athletic Director Jim Melton said. "Even though we won't be at full capacity and we will be practicing social distancing in the stands, we want the fans to come out, be loud, cheer for the athletes/band, and enjoy the experience."


Union County
Stadium capacity: 100 percent
Tickets: At the gate
Mask/Temp checks: Masks recommended, no temperature check
Concessions: Yes, prepackaged
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? “We are just going to show our Panther Spirit no matter the circumstances,” AD Mandy Hunter said.


White County
Stadium capacity: 100 percent
Tickets: Online, at school and at the gate
Mask/Temp checks: Masks recommended, no temperature check
Concessions: Yes, prepackaged
What are you guys doing to make the 2020 experience feel normal? “We ask that everyone be flexible and work with us as we try to provide the safest and best experience possible for our athletes, students, parents and community," AD Craig Turner said.
