It was a wild finish to the regular season for the NASCAR Cup Series at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday night, resulting in a first time winner and a seven-time champion missing the cut.

On this week's Hard Left Turn podcast, Brandon Reed, Pete McCole and Amy Henderson try to sort through the Daytona craziness, including:

-William Byron made a hole between two other cars, triggering a multi-car crash and setting himself up to score his first career Cup series win - and punching his ticket to the Playoffs.

-Jimmie Johnson had the cut made to contend for his eighth career Cup Series championship, but his hopes in his final full season were scuttled after being caught up in that multi-car crash.

-Sixteen drivers head into this weekend ready to battle their way to a possible championship in November.  We take a look at the favorites from here.

-Plus we preview this weekend's Cook Out Southern 500 at the venerable "Lady In Black", Darlington Raceway.

WDUN will carry live MRN Radio coverage of the NASCAR race weekend from Darlington Raceway, beginning with Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series Sports Clips 200 on 102.9 FM and streaming live on AccessWDUN.  Coverage continues on Sunday with the NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out Southern 500 beginning at 5 pm on 102.9 FM, AM 550 and streaming live on AccessWDUN.
