Lula man dead after Friday morning accident on SR 369

A Lula man died after he was involved in an accident on SR 369 in Forsyth County early Friday morning.

According to a press release from the Georgia State Patrol, 24-year-old Jordan William Jenkins was traveling west on SR 369 in a 2001 Honda CR-V around 6:25 a.m. when it struck a culvert, vaulted into the air, and collided with a utility pole.

When first responders arrived, Jenkins was already deceased.

Jenkins was the only person involved in the accident and was wearing his seatbelt at the time, according to the GSP.

The press release states drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the accident.
