Norcross murder leaves authorities asking for help

A 9-1-1 call about a body lying in the parking lot of a Norcross hotel Thursday afternoon has now opened a homicide investigation as authorities try to piece together what happened.

According to a statement from the Gwinnett County Police Department, when they arrived to the In Town Suites at Willow Trail Parkway just after 3:30 p.m., a victim was on the ground with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

The Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit have both begin their investigation. There is no clear motive able to be determined initially.

The victim’s name has been withheld pending notification of his relatives.
