UPDATE: An overnight fire in southern Hall County has been ruled accidental, according to Hall County Fire Services Division Chief Zachary Brackett. Brackett said the cause was "electrical in nature."
Five people were displaced after an overnight fire heavily damaged a house south of Gainesville.
Hall County Fire Services responded to a fire in the 2200 block of Lee Land Road off Ga. 60. Heavy smoke was showing from the 1,600-square-foot home, but the fire was contained to two bedrooms in the back of the house.
No one was injured in the fire, and the American Red Cross was contacted for assistance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
