Guests of the North Georgia Wildlife Park and Zoo in Cleveland now have a new way to learn about the over 300 animals at the park, through what the park is calling the Safari Sunset Experience.
Unlike other tours at the park, the half-mile long walking safari takes place at sunset and will give guests the ability to tour exotic animals like camels, water buffalo, wildebeests, and more. Those who participate in a tour will also be able to feed and touch some of the animals that they come across.
The North Georgia Wildlife Park and Zoo offers around 400 programs annually to give park guests the chance to see their animals up close, the Safari Sunset Experience is the latest addition to the lineup.
Safari Sunset Experiences will be held on Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will be led by the co-owner and director of the North Georgia Wildlife Park and Zoo, Hope Bennett. Bennett has over 20 years of experience with animals and will “teach you so many interesting facts,” according to a press release from the park.
The North Georgia Wildlife Park and Zoo has been active since 1995 through its outreach programs called Wildlife Wonders- Zoo to You, however, the 50-acre park has only been open to the public since 2010.
Guests can visit three distinct areas while in the park, featuring farm animals, small exotic animals and large exotic animals.
