Burglar caught in the act and chased down by employees of Windermere Golf Club

A burglar was caught in the act Friday night, June 12 thanks to the quick actions of the staff at Windermere Golf Club. Employees of the golf club in Forsyth County observed a male in the building where the golf carts are stored. The man had forced his way into the building. The burglar fled when confronted, but employees were able to catch him and detain him until the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office arrived.  

According to a Facebook post by the Sheriff’s office, the suspect had also forcibly entered two offices in the main building.

The suspect, a 24-year-old unnamed male from Forsyth County, was charged with burglary 1st degree and taken to jail.
