Dawson County considers visual appearance of future growth along 400

Posted 8:50AM on Saturday 13th June 2020 ( 3 years ago )

Dawson County wants to hear from the public on what they would like the GA 400/SR 53 corridor to visually look like through a virtual meeting on Monday, June 15 at 9 a.m. The discussion will include feedback on applying additional standards to the way the roads, landscaping and buildings should visually look for businesses, living spaces such as apartments and senior living residences, grocery stores and strip malls.

A survey has been released through their “Dawson County Government” Facebook page as another way to gather feedback. Visit that page as well to find a link to that zoom meeting.

The GA 400 and 53 Overlay Districts refers to adding stricter standards to a current zoning area. The idea is that this will set guidelines for any future growth in that area.
