Perhaps the sports world is on its way back to normalcy. One can only hope the resumption of high school workouts on campus is just the start.
The Georgia High School Association announced last week that all schools could begin workouts with restrictions on June 8. It's a small sign high school sports could be back to normal by August. But the picture is not totally clear across the nation.
Could Georgia be leading the way? Who knows, but it's good news to coaches, athletes and fans alike that the Peach State is allowing its athletes to go back to work.
On this week's podcast, Bo Wilson and Jeff Hart discuss the decision. The two also get into a long diatribe of the Furman baseball shutdown. Why only baseball and men's lacrosse?
Apparently, it's a trend around the college landscape of shuttering lower money-making sports. Will it continue to sweep across the nation? Is it a knee jerk reaction for these institutions?
All of this and more on this week's RunDown Sports Podcast.
