In just over a month, the North Georgia Community Foundation has donated more than $415,000 to local non-profits through their COVID-19 Relief Fund.

The foundation announced in late March that their entire 2020 grant funding would go to the relief fund, which has so far been distributed in four rounds to 42 non-profits.

In addition to private donations and collaborations with non-profits, the foundation has raised money through campaigns where all proceeds go directly to the fund. Two of these projects include the Good People of Gainesville t-shirts and the Chattahoochee Riverkeepers Wild & Scenic Film Festival.

“We have had incredible support from people and organizations in our community who want to help,” said Michelle Prater, president and CEO of the NGCF. “We are thankful for all of those that have given quickly in response to the emergency needs in our community, and we encourage others to continue to follow their example and make contributions to support our relief efforts.”
