A Dawson County sheriff’s deputy has been diagnosed with COVID-19, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.
The post said the deputy was not a patrol officer.
The deputy was originally diagnosed with a sinus infection and was placed on restricted duty to minimize contact with others. The deputy is in quarantine at home and is doing well, the post said.
“Please pray for our deputy and all of those essential service professionals who continue to serve our community,” the pos said. “We encourage our community to continue exercising precautions as we work together to minimize the impact of this virus. We are all in this together.”
