DEMOREST — The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office and Habersham County Coroner’s Office are investigating the discovery of a man’s body in a public roadway Tuesday night.
“Habersham County deputies were dispatched to the area of Chitwood Road, Demorest, in reference to a man down,” said Sheriff’s alt. Matt Wurtz. “Upon arrival, deputies located a white male in the roadway with what appeared to be a self-inflicted injury and he was deceased on scene.”
The investigation is continuing.
No further details are available Wednesday morning.
