Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman says he'll match Falcons' quarterback Matt Ryan's donation of $50,000 to the Atlanta Community Food Bank and the Giving Kitchen.

The bank distributes food to the needy and the Giving Kitchen aides food service workers who are financially hit by the coronavirus outbreak.

Freeman also said he will donate another $25,000 to the Salvation Army.

Both Ryan and Freeman join a long list of professional athletes donating money to different charities as well as paying regular stadium and arena employees' salaries.

Earlier today, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and pop star wife Ciara announced they are donating 1 million meals through Seattle’s Food Lifeline to help provide meals for those in need during the coronavirus outbreak in the region.

“Everything we do together makes a difference,” Ciara said in a video posted to her Twitter account. “And together we will conquer this tough time that we’re going through.”

According to Food Lifeline’s website, the organization provides the equivalent of 134,000 meals daily and had 58 million pounds of food sourced last year.
