There's no doubt the struggle is real with the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
As the outbreak continues to grow in the state of Georgia and across the country, school systems have closed. resulting in a mandatory stoppage of high school athletics.
Most of the school systems in the area elected to close down for two weeks with Hall County and Gainesville City opting for only a week. Both systems had said they would take a look at extending the break at the end of the week.
That decision was made for them on Monday evening when Governor Brian Kemp announced the closure of all public schools until at least March 31.
On this week's podcast, North Hall Athletics Director Sam Borg joined the show to discuss the developments prior to Kemp's press conference, and how schools would handle a shorten spring season.
