There are now 99 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Georgia, up from 66 at midday Saturday and 42 on Friday.
That's according to the state's latest report on the virus, which was issued at noon Sunday.
Sunday's report shows that the virus has now been confirmed in 19 counties, most of them in metro Atlanta with Fulton (20), Cobb (19) and DeKalb (10) leading the way. Cases have also been confirmed as far south as Albany and Valdosta. Forty-seven percent of the cases involve people age 60+ and 53 percent of the infected are women. There has still been only one death in Georgia attributed to the virus.
There have been no confirmed cases in Hall County. Gwinnett (4 cases) and Athens-Clarke (2 cases) are the counties nearest Hall where cases have been recorded.
