At last report, six suspects remained in the Jackson County Jail, charged with trafficking methamphetamine.
A social media post by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office said the three men and three women were arrested on Tuesday, March 10 at a residence on Pine Street in Jefferson. During the search of the residence, authorities seized what was described as a large amount of methamphetamine; deputies did not give a specific quantity. A firearm was seized at the scene, as well.
The suspects and charges in the case are:
- Joshua Marshaun Bailey was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine near a government housing project and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Carita Lasha Bailey was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine near a government housing project and failure to appear on traffic charges.
- Davontray Lamont Chandler was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine near a government housing project.
- Brandon Lavor Terry was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine near a government housing project.
- Amanda Sheree Gilleland was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine near a government housing project.
- Jessica Lynn Ball was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine near a government housing project.
Agents with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) and the Georgia Department of Community Supervision assisted with the search and seizure.
