Gainesville Police Department investigators said Friday they do not yet have the results of the autopsy on a woman found dead this week in Lake Lanier. However, they said they cannot rule out the possibility of foul play in the death at this point.
The body, that of a white adult female, was discovered Wednesday evening in the lake in the Dixon Drive area.
Police said they now know the identity of the woman, but they are not releasing her name pending notification of next of kin.
