Congressman Doug Collins will self-quarantine himself after CPAC confirmed Monday he was photographed with a patient who had tested positive for COVID-19.

Collins issued a statement Monday afternoon, explaining that while he feels healthy and has no symptoms, he will self-quarantine at home for the rest of the 14 day period out of an abundance of caution.

His full statement is below:

“This [Monday] afternoon, I was notified by CPAC that they discovered a photo of myself and the patient who has tested positive for coronavirus. While I feel completely healthy and I am not experiencing any symptoms, I have decided to self-quarantine at my home for the remainder of the 14-day period out of an abundance of caution. I will follow the recommendations of the House Physician and my office will provide updates as appropriate.”

Representative Ted Cruz of Texas and Representative Paul Gosar of Arizona are also self-quarantined in regards to the corona virus.
