COVINGTON — The Class 5A No. 1-ranked Johnson boys stayed unbeaten taking down Class 4A No. 9 Eastside 2-0 Friday night on the road.
The Knights (7-0) got a pair of goals from Ethan Mann and the defense, which has allowed three goals on the season, made it stand up.
It was their fifth road win of the season and the third in six straight matches away from The Dungeon.
Johnson is off for a week before heading to Loganville to open its Region 8-5A schedule.

The Bears (3-5-1, 2-0 Region 7-3A) won their third game in a week and also stayed unbeaten in region play with a big win on the road. In the three matches they outscored the opposition 17-1.
The win also pushed to the top of the region standings.
The Indians (2-7, 0-2 Region 7-3A) lost for the fifth straight time.
Cherokee Bluff will travel to Denmark on Tuesday in a non-region showdown.
Lumpkin County will travel to North Hall on Tuesday in another region battle.

For the second straight match to Vikings offense netted five goals as they also won for the second straight time after a four-match losing streak to open the season.
Daniel Rodriguez had a pair of goals while Walter Bran, Chris Ayala and Averen Samuels each scored once. Angel Perez provided two assists.
East Hall (2-4, 1-0 Region 7-3A) next travel to Fannin County on Tuesday in a key region matchup.
Riverside (0-5-1) will travel to The Walker School on Tuesday.

The Lady Wolves won their third straight match with a solid defensive effort in a non-region battle on the road.
Maggie Leland earned the shutout in goal for Buford (7-1-1).
Angeli Burgos, Arden Paulino, and Ryann Brooks each tallied a goal for the Lady Wolves.
Buford next will play host Heritage-Conyers on Tuesday.
North Hall (2-4) will jump back into Region 7-3A action playing host to Lumpkin County on Tuesday.
