Sam Patterson helped the Gainesville boys golf team to a runner-up finish in the 16-team Longhorn Invitational on Saturday at Legacy at Lanier Islands.
Patterson fired an ace and was low medalist for the tournament.
North Oconee won the tournament. Cherokee Bluff finished third, White County was fourth, West Hall finished in 12th, Buford was 14th and Flowery Branch took home 16th place.
