The Oglethorpe County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the GBI, is conducting a death investigation after two bodies were found at a home in the eastern part of the county Sunday.
“The deaths do not appear to be natural,” a statement from the sheriff’s office about 8:45 p.m. Sunday reads.
Names of those involved and the address of the incident have not been released pending notification of family members.
“Based on the preliminary findings, there is no current threat to public safety or the well-being of good citizens of Oglethorpe,” the statement concludes.
The incident remains under investigation by sheriff’s investigators and GBI agents.
