Daphne David is this year's Gainesville "Woman of Distinction," a yearly award presented by the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia.
David has been an influential member of the Gainesville community for over forty years, according to a Girl Scouts news release, and has continually made a difference in the lives of children in Gainesville and Hall County.
“Daphne is a compassionate, caring person who exemplifies servant leadership,” says LaDon Shaw, Chief Advancement Officer for Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia. “She is an outstanding role model for girls of all ages.”
She's described as "an innovator" for children in the Gifted Education program, a champion for minors in the judicial system of Hall County, and a Girl Scout alum.
David will be honored March 10 at a special luncheon at the Chattahoochee Country Club. Proceeds from the event will benefit Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia.
