Good News Clinics unveiled its new logo and tagline, "Hope through Healthcare," during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday.
“We are Christian organization here to provide hope through quality healthcare—you’ll see that in our new tagline and in the central image of the cross,” explained Liz Coates, executive director at Good News Clinics. "We believe this clean new design aligns with our mission and the ideals for which we strive.”
For nearly three decades, Good News Clinics has been providing free healthcare to uninsured individuals in Hall County.
The result of an almost year-long process, including gathering input from board members, donors and community members, Good News Clinics adopted the new logo and tagline, “Hope through Healthcare,” which the organization believes conveys its goal to not only provide quality healthcare to those in need but also to treat each patient with dignity and respect while employing a Christ-centered perspective.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Coates noted that The Clinics served more than 3,500 patients in 2019 through its medical, dental, and vision clinics, in addition to pharmacy and mental health counseling appointments. She further explained how the logo is representative of each patient that Good News Clinics serves every day by noting the outstretched arms.
“People in this community are reaching out for help, and we welcome them with open arms,” stated Coates. “Every single person who walks into The Clinics matters to our medical providers, staff and volunteers and is treated with dignity.”
That mindset has been ingrained in The Clinics since the doors opened in 1992 under the leadership of the late Sam Poole, M.D., whose daughter was on hand for the ceremony in honor of her father.
“This work is about more than just a new logo,” Coates said. “It is a reflection of our history and a recognition of the those who brought this Clinic to life and have served so faithfully through the years, while also serving as a symbol to position us for the future.”
