Wrestling: North Hall leads 3A Traditionals after first day

MACON — North Hall, which won the Class 3A State Duals wrestling title last month, leads the Class 3A Traditionals tournament after the first day's action Thursday at the Macon Centreplex.

The Trojans sent seven wrestlers into the semifinals and all 13 that qualified for Macon are still alive still in the tournament.

North Hall leads with 40.5 points after the first day. Sonoraville, the defending Traditionals champion and which finished second in the Duals last month, sits in second with 34 points. Jackson County, which took third at the Duals, is third with 29.5 points and Lumpkin County is fourth with 26 points. Jefferson rounds out the top five with 24 points.

The action resumes Friday with the finals scheduled for Saturday at The Centreplex.
