The statement provided to media by the family of Savannah Sims:
Our grief is shared with the families of Morgen and Roy Smith as well as Ray Sluk and we will leave it to their families to respond so we can respect their privacy. Our release is for Savannah Sims. Our family is deeply saddened to inform you of the untimely passing of our beloved Savannah Sims, her long time boyfriend Morgen Smith, Roy Smith, and Ray Sluk. Savannah and Morgen just celebrated their 4 year anniversary in January. They were a couple who loved to travel the world together, go to Atlanta United games, and enjoyed spending time with their friends and family. Savannah was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1996. She attended high school at Flowery Branch and was a 2019 GA State graduate with a Bachelor's in Marketing and Risk Management. She was working at St. Benedict's School and with Jennifer Langley Events. Savannah was outgoing, charismatic and enjoyed helping those who were less fortunate. Savannah will be missed for her bright personality, baking desserts, and unconditional love. Her years were short but the memories of her will last a lifetime. We will forever miss our beloved Savannah but know she is watching over us. This may just be a news story for others but she is everything to us. We would like to thank the neighbors who found the plane, the local Gordon County Authorities for bringing Savannah and everyone home, the GBI and the Gordon County Coroner's office for their due diligence. The NTSB is still conducting their investigation. All the prayers have been heartfelt for our entire family.
