FLOWERY BRANCH — The White County girls bid for their first Region 7-4A title came up short in a 54-45 loss to Marist Monday at the Flowery Branch gym.
The Lady Warriors next will play host to Central-Carroll on Friday in just their second-ever home playoff game.

Maggie McNair poured in 16 points, including the 1,000th of her career, to lead the Lady War Eagles to a big win over Flowery Branch in the consolation game of the Region 7-4A tournament.
Emma Easterwood added 9 points and Logan Wiggins had 8 for Chestatee.
Ashlee Locke led the Lady Falcons with 14 points.
Chestatee (16-12) next will travel to Troup County on Friday in the first round of the Class 4A state tournament.
Flowery Branch will travel Sandy Creek in the first round.
