A Norcross man remains lodged behind bars in the Hall County Jail after he was arrested for allegedly trafficking heroin.
According to Lieutenant Don Scalia with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad Unit (MANS), officers working with the Georgia State Patrol seized approximately 16 grams of Heroin, packaging materials, and digital scales following a joint Heroin distribution investigation resulting with the arrest of 35-year-old Carlos Javier Caraballo.
"MANS Task Force Officers and the Georgia State Patrol were able to make contact with the suspect who was in a vehicle in the area of State Route 52 and State Route 365 in Gainesville," Scalia said. "The suspect was found in possession of approximately 16 grams of heroin."
The approximate street value of the seized narcotics was $4,800 according to Scalia.
Caraballo was booked into the Hall County Jail on the charge of Trafficking Heroin.
