*Dr. Bonita Jacobs, president of the University of North Georgia, has been appointed to the American Council on Education National Task Force on Transfer of Credit. The task force is focused on improving transfer and award of credit practices to spur student success and reduce the time it takes to graduate.

*The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission Career Coach will visit the Place of Forsyth Job Fair in Cumming Feb. 7, 10 AM – 12 PM. The job fair will be held at Browns Bridge Church at 2860 Browns Bridge Road.

*Jeff Ferguson, Chairman, Habersham EMC Board of Directors, announced his resignation at the close of Friday's monthly board meeting. Ferguson cited his growing business and time demands in his resignation:

*Deitra “Didi” Gray of Toccoa has been named North Georgia Technical College’s 2020 Georgia Occupational Award for Leadership (GOAL) student and will represent  NGTC in the regional competition.  Lanier Tech named its GOAL winner, Emma Blaze, several weeks ago.
