*Expect more single lane closures this week daily Monday-Friday 9:00-2:30, at the site of the bridge construction on Browns Bridge Road.

*Deitra “Didi” Gray of Toccoa has been named North Georgia Technical College’s 2020 Georgia Occupational Award for Leadership student and will represent  NGTC in the regional competition.  Lanier Tech named its GOAL winner, Emma Blaze, several weeks ago.

*Cornelia's Historic Cornelia Train Depot Museum will take part in the Georgia Historical Society’s Super Museum Sunday for a second year. *Eleven University of North Georgia students and alumni have been selected as semifinalists for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The highly competitive fellowship enables graduates to pursue research or teach abroad overseas.  Click here to find out who they are.

*The Gainesville Water Resources Department announces that East Avenue will be closed again this week, Monday-Thursday, from the Jesse Jewell Parkway intersection to the Parker Street intersection, weather permitting.

*Water service will be interrupted Monday, 9:00-4:00, on West Avenue between Jewell and Comer Street, including Comer Street, Rosecliff Terrace, and Broad Street Place.
