GAINESVILLE — Declan Weidner poured in 18 points and Conley Millwood added 14 and 10 rebounds to lead the Lakeview boys past Flowery Branch in the annual Lanierland Tournament play-in game at Lakeview on Tuesday.
The Lions (4-2) will play No. 1 seed Gainesville in the first round of the Lanierland Tournament at Gainesville on Monday. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
Harry Cooper poured in 12 points and seven rebounds in the win.
Lakeview outpaced Flowery Branch 23-13 in the second quarter to take a 31-21 lead at the half. Branch, behind leading scorer Tyleek Worth, who scored 12 points, rallied back in the third quarter to close the gap 42-37.
But Cooper and Millwood scored a combined 13 points in the final quarter to seal the win.
Flowery Branch's Jack Ramsey scored 11 points in the loss.
