Baldwin issues Boil Water Advisory for portion of its system

Posted 11:03PM on Monday 7th December 2020 ( 3 years ago )

The City of Baldwin Water System has issued a Boil Water Advisory after a water main break in the southern part of its system.

The main break, located in the 1000 block of B.C. Grant Road north of Alto, may be disrupting water service or resulting in low water pressure in parts of the system south of Charley Davis Road, including Anderson Village and Luthi Road.

The advisory was issued as a precautionary measure, said Baldwin Public Works Director Scott Barnhart.

Baldwin water customers who have experienced a service outage and/or low water pressure to boil any tap water used for consumption, cooking, or baby formula preparation.

Customers will be notified immediately when the advisory is lifted. Once the Advisory is lifted you should flush all faucets for a minimum of two minutes before using for drinking or food preparation.

For more information, contact the Baldwin Water Department at (706) 778-6341.
