With the hope of assisting people who may not be able to come in to the health department during regular business hours, District 2 Public Health has changed their hours of operation to extend times on Tuesdays. The change will begin on November 30.
Tuesday operations are now 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., then 1 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Friday hours will be changed as well, open only in the morning from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday hours remain the same: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a break from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
These changes apply to all 13 county health departments. However, Environmental Health Offices and District Office will maintain their regular hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday, except in Union and White Counties.
Union County Environmental Health will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every weekday. White County Environmental Health will operate 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
