An Oakwood woman reunited with the officers who saved her life last month to thank them.

Sergeant Marquita Driskell, Corporal Jason Crowder, Corporal Matt Norman and Officer Brian deKlirk were dispatched to an emergency at Sabrina Ragsdale's home, and found the 29-year-old suffering from a cardiac arrest. She did not have a pulse. The officers worked as a team to perform CPR until an ambulance arrived and treatment could continue.

Ragsdale said she had struggled with her health, and felt like she was given a second chance.

"You guys made me feel like I still have a purpose," said Ragsdale at the Monday night meeting. "Thank you so much for saving my life."

Ragsdale made her comments at Monday's city council meeting.

Chief Tim Hatch told the council that just hours before, the team had responded to another cardiac arrest call, in which the patient did not survive.

The Chief presented each officer with a letter of commendation, after reading an excerpt from a message Ragsdale had sent to the police department on social media.
