LifeSouth invites the Gainesville community to join Conditioned Air Systems in remembering and honoring the life of Justus Teal Williams of Gainesville by donating blood on Friday, November 6.
Donors can stop by the bloodmobile at Conditioned Air Systems, located at 2410 Hilton Way SW in Gainesville from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. All blood collected will serve patients at Children’s Hospital of Atlanta. Blood donors will be entered to win a LifeSouth gift basket. Just a little of your time can save up to three lives in our community.
Justus passed away in May 2019 at the age of 2 at Scottish Rite Hospital after battling the effects of Shiga-toxin E.coli. Young patients like Justus need blood transfusions for trauma, cancer treatment, transplants, surgery and blood diseases and disorders such as Sickle Cell Disease every day.
Blood donors must be at least 17 (16 with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. A photo ID is also required.
