CORNELIA – Republican Bo Hatchett of Cornelia met with supporters in Cornelia to celebrate his overwhelming victory in the State Senate District 50 race over Democrat Dee Daley.

“It’s been humbling,” Hatchett said of seeing the election returns come in for the race. “It’s been a long ride. Eight months ago, we started out on this journey. I’m very thankful and I look forward to representing the district.”

Hatchett, 30, of Cornelia is a Cornelia attorney and owns a real estate business. He is married and he and his wife Ashley have two young daughters.

“I’ve grown up here my entire life,” Hatchett said. “I brought my family here because I want them to be raised in the same environment that I was raised, with the same values that I grew up on. I’m looking forward to representing the entire district and continuing to fight for the values that I was raised on.”

District 50 includes all of Banks, Franklin, Habersham, Rabun, Stephens and Towns and portions of Hall and Jackson counties.

District 50 State Sen.-elect Bo Hatchett, left, talks with House District 10 Rep.-elect Victor Anderson at an event Tuesday night in Cornelia.
