One apartment suffered fire damage and others received smoke damage from a fire in White County Monday night.
The fire, at 101 Adventure Way in Mountain Lakes Resort of Ga. 75 Alternate, was dispatched about 11:30 p.m., said White County Public Safety Director David Murphy.
“Fire units arrived and found a three-story, multi-apartment type rental cabin about 60% involved,” Murphy said. “Firefighters made a defensive attack, knocking the fire down until firefighters could make entry. Firefighters made an interior attack stopping the fire from spreading into the other apartments.”
No injuries were reported.
Cleveland Fire Department, Helen Fire Department, Lee Arrendale State Prison Fire Department and White County Emergency Medical Services responded, along with state fire investigators.
Firefighters cleared the scene at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
