Cory Hedgecock drove to a hometown victory on Friday night at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia.
The Chattanooga, Tennessee native – just a few feet across the state line where Boyd’s Speedway is located – powered to the win for the Topless Outlaw Late Model Series at the 3/8-mile clay raceway.
The series features dirt Late Models racing without roofs, allowing fans to see down into the cockpit as the cars race by.
Hedgecock edged out Chase King for the victory and the $2,500 winner’s paycheck.
Randy Weaver finished in third, followed by Austin Neely in fourth and Ronnie Johnson in fifth.
Jadon Frame, Jed Emert, John Ownbey, Oliver Gentry and Kenny Collins rounded out the top 10.
In other action, Colten Jackson held off Cody Haskins to score the Crate Late Model victory. Josh Henry finished third, with Cameron Weaver fourth and Zach Sise fifth.
Shun Thomas took the win in the Sportsman feature. Chris Hough crossed the finish line in second, followed by Jeremy Broome in third, Taylor Cole in fourth and Robby Hixon in fifth.
Roger Adkins II was the winner in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Dylan Johnson, Billy Long, Brian Smith and Josh Scealf rounded out the top five.
Cody Moffett scored the victory in the B Hobby feature, with Spenser Cranfield in second, Lynn Moffett in third, Charles Devine in fourth and Adrian Williams in fifth.
