The following closings and cancellations have been announced for Friday due to the aftermath of Tropical Storm Zeta.This list will be updated.
- Banks County schools will be closed Friday for students and staff.
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier’s Hall County and Gainesville City afterschool programs are canceled for Friday, October 30. The Cumming Elementary afterschool program will operate on a regular schedule
- Forsyth County Schools are open with the exception of Silver City Elementary, which is closed for the day.
- Gainesville City School System will be closed to students on Friday. There will be no remote instruction, but teachers will be contacting parents if their children are behind on assignments.
- Habersham County schools closed Friday.
- Hall County schools will have a virtual learning day for all students. Teachers will be working from home, while 12-month employees should report to work.
- Lakeview Academy closed Friday.
- Lumpkin County schools closed Friday.
- The University of North Georgia's Gainesville and Blue Ridge campuses will be closed on Friday. The Dahlonega, Oconee and Cumming campuses will operate on a normal schedule.
- White County schools will be closed for in-person and DDL students and staff on Friday.
