On this week's The RunDown Sports Podcast, Bo Wilson and Caleb Hutchins take a look back at Week 8 action.
-- Flowery Branch's Jaizen Ellingham rushed for 222 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Falcons past North Oconee in double overtime. The win put the Falcons in the driver's seat for a first-round home playoff game.
-- North Hall's offense continues to put up big numbers in Region 7-3A making the region a three-horse race with Cherokee Bluff and Dawson County for the title. White County, however, could have some say so in the race when it's all said and done.
-- Lakeview earned its first Region 6-A Private win over King's Ridge on Friday. The Lions are in good shape to make their first-ever playoff berth.
-- Gainesville faces pre-season region title favorite South Forsyth on Friday in Cumming. The Red Elephants remain undefeated in Region 6-7A and at the top of the standings, while the War Eagles roll in off a loss to West Forsyth. If the Red Elephants can get the win on Friday, they'll solidify themselves as a region title contender.
