Halfway through Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway, Joey Logano was flirting with the cutoff line for the Championship 4.

When the checkered flag was waved, Logano won and became the first driver to lock himself into the title round next month at Phoenix.

On this week's Hard Left Turn podcast, Brandon Reed, Pete McCole and Amy Henderson take a look at the news from Kansas, including:

-Logano held off a hard charging Kevin Harvick, bobbing and weaving and taking away his line en route to the win.  And don't forget, Logano won at Phoenix in the spring, and that's where this year's Championship will be decided.

-Denny Hamlin won the second segment of the race, but tagged the wall and had to come back from being a lap down.

-Kurt Busch had a rare engine detonation that left him in 38th at the end of the day.

-Who's in and who's out going to Texas, and who can bounce back the best?

-Kyle Larson has been reinstated by NASCAR, and more Silly Season news.

Plus we'll have a look at the upcoming weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.
