Mother Nature rewarded the area's team a bunch of rain for making to the halfway point of the season during Week 6. Teams, for the most part, performed well despite the torrential downpours.

Jefferson showed off in a big win against Flowery Branch to take the early lead in Region 8-4A, and Dawson County, Cherokee Bluff and North Hall are in a three-way tie for first in a competitive Region 7-3A.

Region play continues this week with North Hall at White County headlining the slate. Can the Warriors get back on track after the loss to Dawson County against a resurging North Hall? Will Habersham Central give defending champs Buford fits in Mt. Airy? Will Commerce continue its streak with a Region 8-A opening win over Greene County?

The AccessSports Weekly crew takes a look at those games along with the entire Week 7 slate.

Seth Chapman reveals his top highlights of Week 5, and the crew names this week's WilHart Team of the Week.
